Support independent media
Context Corner is Muslim-led, fact-based journalism built to last. When a major outlet runs a story about our community, we're almost always a source — never the author. We're changing that.
In 2025, we published an investigation every major local outlet declined to run — documenting anti-Muslim hostility surrounding a mosque property in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including verified vandalism incidents. Within 72 hours, the report reached more than 70,000 readers. That story existed because members made it possible. No sponsors. No political backers. Just community-supported journalism.
Context Corner fills a gap that mainstream media refuses to touch. I joined the Founders Circle because this kind of journalism doesn't sustain itself — it needs people who believe in it.
The Context Corner team.
Real people. Real stakes. Independent by design.
A note from the team
Every time a national news cycle touches our community, a familiar pattern follows. Headlines frame Muslims and immigrants as controversy — rarely as contributors. Context is removed. Nuance disappears.
Context Corner exists to correct that imbalance. We report facts. We document reality. We provide the context others ignore. Supporting this work means ensuring Texas communities are represented accurately — not reduced to narratives written elsewhere.
When concerns emerged over Islamophobic remarks tied to discussions within the Murphy City Council, three national outlets reviewed the documentation and chose not to publish.
We did.
The report generated over 5,000 reads and a YouTube breakdown within two weeks. Public response prompted clarification from city leadership, with the Mayor affirming that Muslims are welcome in the City of Murphy. That accountability happened because independent members fund this newsroom.
— A story only Context Corner told
Context Corner exists to change the equation. Fact-based, Muslim-led, editorially independent — funded entirely by the community we serve, not by advertisers who need to stay on good terms with the institutions we cover.
We're not asking you to donate. We're asking you to invest in a bureau that works for you. When you join the Builders or Founders Circle, you're not buying a subscription. You're keeping a newsroom alive that no corporate media company would fund.
Real numbers. Real journalism.

Context Corner is the only outlet that covers stories affecting our community without sensationalizing them. I trust the reporting here in a way I don't trust anywhere else.
I've been waiting for Muslim-led journalism at this level for years. When I saw they were building something real and long-term, joining was an easy decision.
The quarterly briefings alone are worth it. You get real context and actual conversation — not just a newsletter. My $500 feels like genuine investment, not a donation.
